Responsible for validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into EMR.
Obtain prior authorization for referred patients.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, team player, fast learner, and great customer skill.
Keeping detailed records of medical staff members and maintaining databases.
Making sure that the facilities are always fully compliant with all state and federal regulations.
They must also ensure that every staff member is legally licensed and/or credentialed and up to date with the latest medical policies and procedures.
· Greet patients as they arrive and maintain minimal wait times.
· Complete check-in process-collection of co-pay and co-insurance or deductible
· Answer calls, re-direct calls, assist callers with questions or concerns.
· Manage medical records – maintain and upload files or scans, preparing to schedule.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employees.
· Create and maintain licensing, credentials, and insurance records.
· Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
· Help develop internal credentialing processes.
· Monitor license and credential expiration dates and advise staff members of required “renew by” dates.
