SpineSearch is seeking to fill an opening for a Medical Coder (CPC) to join a leading hospital system's neurosurgery department located in Manhattan, New York
Position is full time, in-person, Monday through Friday - offers a competitive salary based on experience, a full suite of benefits, and room for growth.
Requirements of the Certified Medical Coder:
- High School Diploma, Associate's Degree preferred
- Must have Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification (through AAPC or AHIMA)
- Must have experience coding for spine or related specialty
Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Coder:
- Fulfill a variety of variety of complex and technical medical coding assignments
- Analyze, code, and abstract medical information
- Resolve coding discrepancies
- Review and revise rejected claims
- Run accounts receivable report (IDX)
- Track all IDX record requests
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
