Spinnaker Support is Hiring a Director of Total Rewards Near Denver, CO

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director, Global Total Rewards to lead our compensation and benefits programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director of Total Rewards will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive total rewards strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent while ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives. This role will also oversee the Payroll and HRIS function with 1 direct report.
Responsibilities:
  • Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and execute a total rewards strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, ensuring competitiveness in the market and alignment with industry standards.
  • Compensation Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, executive compensation and recognition programs.
  • Benefits Administration: Lead the evaluation, selection, and management of global employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other perks, to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
  • HRIS and Payroll Oversight: Manage and oversee the Payroll HRIS Manager ensuring accurate and timely payrolls, compliance and system integrations.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to integrate compensation and performance management processes, ensuring alignment of rewards with individual and organizational performance.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize market data and analytics to conduct benchmarking studies, assess the effectiveness of existing programs, and make data-driven recommendations for enhancements or changes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits, staying abreast of legislative changes and industry trends to mitigate risks.
  • Communication and Education: Develop and deliver communication strategies to educate employees on total rewards programs, ensuring understanding of the value proposition and maximizing engagement.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to optimize the delivery of compensation and benefits programs and services.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards management, preferably in the technology or IT services industry with a global footprint.
  • Experience in a small organization (200-500 employees) in a high growth mode.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations, with experience designing and managing compensation programs.
  • Proficiency in benefits administration, including healthcare, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation planning systems; familiarity with market benchmarking tools and surveys.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management/organizational skills to lead initiatives systemically
  • Ability to handle and maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation preferred.

This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data and geographic location.
