SPIROL Stow Ohio is adding full time CNC Machinist on our 2nd and 3rd shifts. The CNC Machinist is responsible to produce quality parts on CNC machines from prints and sketches while working to close tolerance, and within established time standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To product parts per print specifications from all types of material.
  2. Be able to set up and operate machine shop equipment ie.: CNC lathe and mill, Bridgeport, grinders, manual lathe, band saw, and drill press.
  3. Produce parts within the established time standards.
  4. Accurately report work hours to work orders using the Transcollector system.
  5. Perform continual inspection on all parts during its manufacturing process to ensure quality.
  6. Able to work from verbal instructions or sketches when required.
  7. Accurately use all appropriate types of measuring equipment such as scales, calipers, beveled protractors, micrometers, dial indicators, and comparator to inspect work and ensure no defective parts.
  8. Properly handle and label process chemicals (oils, solvents, etc.) from initial procurement through to deposit into satellite storage container.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  10. Perform all other work as assigned by Manager.
  11. Promotes continuous improvement by taking the initiative to identify issues and provide solutions with the goal of reducing cost and improving performance.
  12. Maintain equipment in excellent condition to reduce negative environmental impacts.
  13. Minimize waste and conserve energy through reuse, recycling, and following Environmental Management System practices.
  14. Perform all Preventative Maintenance activities defined for your assigned machine accurately and timely to ensure continued machine capability and performance. The goal is to eliminate un-planned machine downtime.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Technical School graduate, two- or three-years machine shop experience preferred.
  2. On-the-job training in environmental management including hazardous waste management.
  3. Basic geometry and trigonometry.
  4. Ability to use all types of measuring equipment.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
