Splendora Independent School District is Hiring a Director of Professional Learning Near Splendora, TX
implementation, and feedback of all aspects of Splendora ISD’s Professional Learning. The
secondary purpose of this role is to provide support and implementation of the Elevate program and
support and lead the district curriculum coordinators.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred;
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher
- Valid Texas teacher’s certification;
- Prior experience in leading professional learning opportunities, preferably at the school and
- Demonstrate leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication
- Principal experience required
SalarySalary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees
Essential Functions
- Plan, implement, and solicit feedback of all aspects of professional learning provided for
- Ensure the alignment of professional learning to the District Strategic Plan
- Support new teacher induction process development, implementation, support, and
- Collaborate with campuses and departments to design meaningful learning experiences for
- Recruit and support Elevate Classroom Instructors
- Create and implement Elevate courses
- Communicate with campus/district leadership and Instructional Coaches
- Coordinate and collaborate with the district curriculum coordinators
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief of Learning or Executive Director of Advanced

- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Environment: Frequent district-wide travel
