This is a full-time hybrid work position located at the SRHD main campus, has a dedicated Monday-Friday dayshift schedule, and starts at $25.50/hr.

What you'll be doing

This position reports to the Human Resource Director and supports a variety of routine tasks in the Human Resources Department focusing on accuracy, quality, documentation integrity and thoroughness. This role solves problems and identifies solutions to improve processes and current policies. As the Human Resources Associate this role supports many different projects and programs lead by the Human Resources team. May provide backup to the the other HR Associate, and occasionally to the other HR Generalists.
This position performs duties that require discretion when preparing, disclosing and handling information that is confidential, controversial or sensitive in nature. This role may communicate and maintain confidential records, be privy to information and documentation that require discretion including sensitive information with respect to employer-employee relations during negotiations processes. This role only requests or provides access for relevant confidential information needed to perform this role and responsibilities. The duties include exercising judgment and discretion in accordance with the parameters set by leadership.
Some Essential Functions Include:

  • Utilizes computer software applications and equipment to produce routine forms, reports, correspondence, requisitions, tabulations, and other materials based on copy or rough drafts. Proofreads documents to identify keying and formatting errors. Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as various internal applications like KIPS and SIMS. Can create basic spreadsheets and presentation materials.
  • Completes HR Workflows documenting employee step increases and employee changes.
  • Provides volunteer onboarding support such as processing applications, contacting applicants and volunteer managers.
  • Serves as HR's SharePoint Site and HR Intranet Administrator. Creates, develops and edits sites and subsites; Utilizes SharePoint and Office 365 technology for process improvements.

What we need from you

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely related field.
  • Two years of relevant HR related experience. Prior experience supporting organizational policies and procedures is essential.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to balance competing demands and constantly adjusting multiple priorities.
  • Strong collaboration and detail orientated.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when working with confidential information, records and documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
An equivalent combination of education, experience and certification may be considered, provided the individual background demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field
  • Two years working directly with an HRIS system.
  • PHR or SHRM CP
