Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is Hiring a Casino Revenue Audit Supervisor Near Airway Heights, WA

Position SummaryCASINO REVENUE EXPERIENCE REQUIREDResponsible for conducting and supervising the daily audit process of gaming and non-gaming revenue, ensuring the accuracy of reported revenues. Responsible for timely review, examination, and verification of the daily records and reports related to income and revenue of STRC, for both gaming and non-gaming operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities.The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.
  • Oversees, implements and monitors department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of the department.
  • Develops revenue audit checklists to properly address internal control and compliance requirements.
  • Ensures Revenue Audit staff inspects, analyzes, authenticates, and confirms all daily information into the revenue audit files including tracking of coupons and complimentary receipts.
  • Ensures that all daily revenue audit checklist steps have been completed and revenue properly recorded.
  • Prepares, audits, and distributes reports timely.
  • Coordinates with gaming regulators for STRC, audits, and other regulatory issues.
  • Timely issuance of incident reports to management to alert and/or correct deviations from internal controls.
  • Ensures verification of all slot meter reads, fill slips, credit slips, jackpot forms/paperwork, chip inventory, cage accountability, soft count verifications, credit card receipts and other paperwork related to the daily revenues, as assigned.
  • Maintains weekly, monthly, and annual logs as directed by the internal controls.
  • Issues flash and daily operating reports, as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining readily available files including all retained records for current and prior years.
  • Anticipates threats to the organization by analyzing the results of the daily audits and communicates appropriately with the Controller and the Director of Finance.
  • Appraises the controller of every aspect of the performance of the department, providing solutions and alternatives to operational challenges.
  • Provides recommendations to management on issues pertaining to gaming audit, accounting, and regulations to provide informational and analytical support for management decision-making.
  • Keeps abreast of federal, state, and local laws to ensure that STRC is in compliance with all laws and regulations and protected from liabilities.
  • Performs special audits to provide a high level of expertise on matters of a complex or sensitive nature.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and training, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Under the direction of the Controller and/or Director of Finance, ensure effective recruitment, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and other personnel-related matters are being handled appropriately.
  • Adheres to guest service standards by providing excellent guest service to all internal and external guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience in a casino environment. Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BSA, AML, and Patriot Act as well as CTR, SAR reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills and knowledge.
  • Unquestionable integrity and work ethics.

Regulatory And Compliance ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Obtain and maintain a License B with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Casino.
  • Perform all duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee's department.
  • Have knowledge of Title 31 rules and regulations as it relates to their area.
  • Consult Internal Control procedures and policy manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to security or the appropriate levels of management.
