The Franchise Development Director serves as a guide and gatekeeper for all qualified franchisee candidates. This role will manage the franchise discovery process including hosting a series of meetings via phone and video conference to qualify and disqualify candidates in the discovery process as well as prepare the qualified for Discovery Day and ultimately to sign a franchise agreement and move forward with the Sport Clips franchise system. Scope: The Franchise Development Director will work with candidates in their designated territory from the Lead status through the entire discovery process and if they determine the candidate is qualified, prepare them to meet the Leadership Team at Discovery Day and continue to work with them through signing and beyond into validation support (Roadmap management). This role will also support existing franchisees in their efforts to purchase additional licenses as well as build relationships with existing franchisees to encourage them to share their story for validation purposes. This role includes non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and should have a regular cadence of communication with quality candidates of no less than every three (3) days. This is responsible for proper disclosure of the Franchise Disclosure Document, including collection of the required acknowledgement of receipt, signed by the candidate and spouse (if applicable). The Franchise Development Director will also work closely with the Franchise Conversion Specialist to ensure proper transition from suspect lead as well as the Real Estate Directors and Operations team on a championship level transition once they are officially signed franchisees in the Sport Clips system. Key Criteria/Requirements:
5 years experience in the franchise industry and familiarity with franchise development concepts
Ability to follow a discovery process and manage multiple candidates simultaneously.
Ability to manage many details in a CRM software system.
Ability to use MS Office software effectively
Ability to work in a remote setting and travel to meetings with candidates.
Comfortable with using data to track conversion results (lead to Discovery Day, Discovery Day to signing ratio etc.)
Support, promote, and enhance awareness of the internal referral program
Drive suspects (new potential leads) at the local level in priority markets
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to professionally host signing dinner/congratulatory dinners and support a professional and seamless transition to the Real Estate and Operations teams
Ability to build relationships with brokers and other business partnerships to drive leads
Attend national convention (the National Huddle) in various locations around the US on an annual basis
