SPORTFIVE is Hiring a Senior Staff Accountant Near Scottsdale, AZ
Over the past 15 months we’ve invested heavily in golf, more than doubling both their Golf Events and Brand Solution divisions. We currently operate four PGA TOUR and one Korn Ferry Tour tournaments and engage more than 20 other golf events hosted in the United States, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
To support this growth we are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. We look to match the intensity and responsiveness of the divisions we support, which can only be accomplished by relying on each other. The right candidate must have a desire to learn, a willingness to follow directions, and be adaptable. The responsibilities listed below could be very different than those assigned to you in 6 to 9 months. In return we’ll carve out aspects of the accounting function for you to take ownership, empowering and supporting you to become the subject matter expert. Essential Job Duties
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions upholding the policies and procedures established by SPORTFIVE
- Create billing schedules based on executed contracts, ensure invoices are sent on a timely basis
- Ensure financial results are complete and accurate by established close deadlines
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, resolve and investigate outstanding items
- Assist FP&A in the budget/forecast process twice annually
- Prepare deliverables as requested for annual audit and tax return preparation
- Be a resource to business leaders by effectively communicating results and sharing meaningful data points
- Identify opportunity for improvement in internal controls, and lead efforts when assigned
- Assist in the implementation of any new accounting tools and process changes
- Mentor other members of the finance team
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SAP Experience is a plus
- Seeks to learn continuously and be motivated by new assignments
- Strong managerial intelligence (time management, delegation, escalation)
- This role is located on site at our Scottsdale, AZ office.
