Who We Are

Sports Broadcast Solutions, or SBS for short, is a Broadcasting Network for Everyone. We offer live broadcasts for the non-professional athlete. We film in 720P HD, 1080P HD, and 4K. We offer everything from live score banners and motion graphics to pregame interviews, play-by-play commentary, live stats, and much, much more. We also offer professional sports uploads. What the Role Entails

SBS is currently looking for freelance and pro bono play-by-play commentators, color commentators, and field reporters for our Green Bay area soccer telecasts. Mileage will be reimbursed at 65 cents per mile, and it includes roundtrip mileage. Listed below are some of the main job responsibilities:

• You can carpool with us in Carol Stream if you live in Illinois and not in Wisconsin.
• Hotel and meals will be covered for candidates who don't live in the Green Bay area.
• Someone who can respond quickly to mass Blind Carbon Copy emails. If we have to constantly text you, we perceive that to mean you're not really interested in on-air responsibilities at SBS and only interested in a paycheck.
• Passion for the product. If you're only looking into making some money and don't care about creating a meaningful experience for the players, viewers, or fans, please don't apply.
• Previous experience in play-by-play commentary, color commentary or field reporting, especially live sports, highly recommended but not required.
• Ability to memorize names and numbers.
• Has a field reporting, play-by-play comentary, or color commentary demo reel (YouTube link) on file.
• Understands that this isn't the Final Four or Frozen Four. If you only want to call live NCAA Division I games, this isn't a good fit for you.
• Understands that we need a soccer demo reel on file. If you don't have a demo reel for baseball, you can't be on play-by-play duties. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Understands that this is LIVE broadcasting.
• Enjoys non-professional sports broadcasts. We offer professional uploads (i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJDQeurUSJQ), but this position is primarily focused on our clients pertaining to travel baseball, high school athletics, college athletics, AAU basketball, Pop Warner football, travel hockey, etc.
• If you want to edit professional sports videos for us, we offer remote work. Search "Kirby Puckett Sports Broadcast Solutions" on YouTube.
• Entry-level candidates welcome.
• Bachelor's degree highly recommended in Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, or related major.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $62.00 per hour

Schedule:

• On call
• Weekends as needed

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Broadcasting: 1 year (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Required)
