We're on the lookout for an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Quantitative Modeler. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and implementing quantitative models for near-real-time risk monitoring and reporting. Your duties will involve overseeing modeling efforts, grasping risk management concepts, and aiding in the upkeep of GRC applications and databases. To be successful as the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)Quantitative Modeler, we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, risk management, computer science, or related fields
  • Eight (8) years of applicable quantitative modeling and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tool development and support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems, application development and support, and database management systems
  • Expert in one or more modern programming languages such as in Python, R, SAS, or other relevant languages
  • Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective working knowledge of secure coding practices
  • Good customer service and organization skills
  • Ability to understand and be compliant with SPP Policies and Procedures
Preferred:
  • Two (2) or more years applicable utility industry experience
  • MS degree or PhD in mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, economics, risk management, computer science, or related fields
  • Subject Matter Expert in enterprise risk management including monitoring & reporting functions related to KRIs, RCSA, and risk appetite overall
  • Prior experience using GRC Tools such as RSA Archer, Workiva, Asana, or MetricStream
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Working extended hours may be required.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
