Direct Support Professional Hourly Salary: $16.59 - $17.20/hr.
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Available
Shifts: Weekdays and or Weekends (various shifts available)
Location: Charles County, MD
Job Description:An ideal candidate should demonstrate compassion and a genuine interest in aiding individuals with varying abilities in their daily routines, encompassing tasks such as toileting, bathing, and feeding. Creativity is a valued trait, enabling the applicant to offer support that promotes community engagement and facilitates participation in social events. Essential qualities include a positive outlook and a supportive demeanor.
Duties Include but not limited to:
- Implementing goals
- Monitoring/documenting progress
- Administer medications
- Assist individuals with planning their day
- Assisting individual with laundering and house cleaning
- Supporting individuals with meal preparation and grocery shopping
- May be required transport individual on outings in the community
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing and pulling
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
- Valid US Driver's license with (2 or less) points on driving record
- Experience working with disabled adults preferred, but not required
- Able to pass a medication administration course
