The Azure Network Engineer will assume responsibility for overseeing and monitoring network traffic, network management, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation, and the supervision of Azure DevOps build and release pipelines for IaC deployments related to the network. Additionally, the role involves providing assistance to other teams with troubleshooting, access, and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying, administrating, and operating Azure-based networking components and services through IaC technologies such as ARM templates, Azure Bicep, Terraform, Azure CLI, and PowerShell. This encompasses services for our client's platforms, developers, and teams, including but not limited to Azure Firewall, Gateways, Connections, VPNs, ExpressRoutes, and Virtual Networks.

• Administering and operating Azure PaaS and SaaS networking for Azure services that are equipped with distinct firewalls or integrated with Azure Private Endpoint. Such services may include Azure storage, Key Vault, Service Bus, and others.

• Managing Azure public IP addresses, Bastions, Network Security Groups, Application Security Groups, and Route tables.

• Proactively configuring security solutions and alerts, and promptly responding to alerts while vigilantly monitoring network security events.

• Overseeing VNet peering, connectivity, gateway transit, BGP implementation, NAT/SNAT for various platforms.

• Establishing and managing observability processes and protocols for Azure workloads, incorporating elements like Network Watcher, thresholds, triggers, action groups, ticketing systems, and web hook integrations. This includes the monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and reporting of metrics related to service and application issues, such as uptime, redundancy, latency, traffic, error rates, saturation, performance, and usage.

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining relevant documentation, guidelines, checklists, and policies that encourage continuous integration, enhance data security, and minimize the risk of "human error."

• Being responsive to failures and issues as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Participating in disaster recovery exercises and related preparedness tasks.

• Proactively analyzing and presenting ideas for continuous improvement.

• Setting an example for a collaborative and teamwork-driven work environment.

• Providing support and actively engaging in our client's Continual Improvement Program to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with Quality Policy procedures and fulfilling QMS and ISMS objectives.

• Acknowledging the professional duty of all employees to report information regarding security issues, incidents, or situations that pose potential security risks to our client's ISO Team, Management, or their respective Supervisors.

• Undertaking other tasks and projects as directed by the management.

Education Requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university, or an equivalent level of work experience.

• Holding Microsoft Azure certifications or having equivalent work experience, including:

- AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) certification.

- AZ-700 (Azure Networking Associate) certification.

Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Azure network engineer role.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in deploying, managing, supporting, and securing Microsoft Azure and cloud-hosted workloads.

• Demonstrated proficiency in automating deployments, configuring servers, and creating efficiencies related to DevOps.

• A strong grasp of core networking and connectivity concepts for internet-based applications, including DNS, load balancers, VPN, VLAN, and more.

• A willingness to lead projects and work effectively in a team environment.
