Job Summary

We are now hiring for dedicated and passionate Housekeeping Room Inspector to join our exceptional team at a starting pay rate of $14.00/HR and Up DOE.

The Hotel Housekeeping Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and sanitation. The Room Inspector will conduct thorough inspections of rooms after they have been cleaned by the housekeeping staff, identify areas that need improvement, and provide feedback to ensure that each room meets or exceeds the hotel's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect Guest Rooms: Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, including checking for cleanliness, proper arrangement, and the functionality of all room amenities.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all hotel standards and cleanliness protocols are followed by the housekeeping team.
• Training & Coaching: Provide constructive feedback and on-the-spot training to housekeeping staff to improve cleaning techniques and efficiency.
• Documentation: Record inspection results, including any deficiencies, and communicate these to the housekeeping manager and staff for corrective action.
• Guest Satisfaction: Assist in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring that rooms are impeccably clean and welcoming.
• Safety & Sanitation: Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to safety and health regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and report on the use of cleaning supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that supplies are used efficiently.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping team, maintenance staff, and front desk to coordinate room readiness and address any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a related field, with a strong understanding of housekeeping operations and standards.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for providing feedback and training to staff.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and inspect rooms for extended periods; lift and carry items up to 25 lbs; and perform repetitive tasks.
• Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and the ability to resolve issues or escalate them when necessary.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in hospitality or hotel management is a plus.

Schedule

This position may require weekend, holiday, and evening work based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
