Job Summary

Exciting opportunity within a fast-growing manufacturing organization to lead all aspects of the tax function in a co-sourced environment. This role will partner with a global consulting firm that has a local presence to ensure timely and accurate compliance. The individual will be a key cross-functional resource to support and provide expertise on the tax implications of business decisions and initiatives. The role requires proactive, independent work and a high level of task-management capability to direct and organize external resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise external tax partners as they prepare components of the companys federal, state, and local income tax returns and other related tax documents
• Oversight and preparation of quarterly tax estimates, extensions, and payments
• Assist external tax partners to prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 740
• Coordinate multistate sales/use tax return efforts between internal and external partners
• Assist in the coordination and resolution of tax audits and notices
• Be the internal tax partner to support all corporate functions (Accounting, Operations, Payroll, Legal, etc) or business initiatives with tax issues/questions
• Monitor escheat report filings
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments for risks/opportunities and assist in researching and resolving global and technical tax issues
• Manage the support and documentation necessary to respond to requests from State, IRS or external auditors
• Coordinate process improvements throughout the business with respect to internal and external resources
• Participate in due diligence associated with M&A activity
• Assist in forecasting/budgeting for the tax department and ensure targeted goals are achieved
• Provide balance sheet activity reconciliations related to tax assets and liabilities as well as estimates for forecast and budgeting purposes
• Ensure transfer pricing is accurately documented and implemented while minimizing tax exposures
• Support the Corporate Controller in preparation of required monthly/quarterly financials and disclosures
