Your Role:

The Regional Business Director will be responsible for recruiting and hiring sales representatives and managing their performance, by providing feedback, coaching and development opportunities. The Regional Business Director will provide leadership necessary to achieve sales goals for marketed products in a region. This includes all aspects of sales planning and execution for the area including working with commercials operations, marketing, medical, legal, and senior leadership and ensuring the optimal allocation of resources across geography assigned. The Regional Business Director will also hold ultimate accountability for maintaining effective relationships with key customers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, manages, and coaches a high performing sales team to operate in line with SpringWorks' sales model and standards, including appropriately allocating rewards/recognition.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive reputation for SpringWorks with key customers and communicates clear and compelling messages to varied audiences, ensuring that message is appropriate and compliant.
  • Oversee the development and execution of strategic sales and account plans and ensure implementation of tailored field force efforts to meet unique regional needs; ensures sales targets are met/exceeded and field activities are aligned to the strategic brand imperatives.
  • Analyzes the Region's business and builds short- and long-term business plans to drive sales growth, including setting clear expectations for utilization of approved promotional programs.
  • Develops regional business strategies to increase access to the brand and support the brand objectives by working with Market Access and other key stakeholders.
  • Partners with commercial operations and data, analytics & insights to ensure the integrity of customer data so that appropriate resources are deployed within the region.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Communicate competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management.
  • Develop local opinion leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
  • Recruit and retain top managers.
  • Ensure high level of collaboration with alliance partners to maximize joint efforts.
  • Monitor and understand sales trends and competitor activities within the area and nation.
  • Understands and the oncology healthcare landscape and market dynamics, trends, competitors, regulations with good understanding of oncology distribution models and managed health care environment and teaches direct reports to elevate their knowledge.
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs and medical conventions as requested.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree (MBA) preferred
  • 12 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 5 years in oncology and people management role(s)
  • Strong understanding of Oncology therapeutic area and current trends
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry procedures and regulations
  • Strong business acumen related to traditional Oncology selling and Customer account management
  • Proactive; takes ownership of situations and demonstrates problem solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful cross-functional teams through effective motivation and leadership.
  • Provide ethical leadership and demonstrate SpringWorks' values by adhering to corporate policies and required sales practice regulations in a compliant and ethical manner
  • Ensure each sales manager and sales representative understands, accepts and adheres to the policies and procedures
  • Model SpringWorks Leadership Principles to drive a collaborative function that embraces innovation and drives superior employee experience through growth management.
  • Embody the SpringWorks Values to act with empathy and humility to drive a culture that takes ownership and accountability for their individual and teams' performance.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $225,000.00 – $245,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
