Job Title: Nurse Educator - Practice

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, USA

Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Salary: $40/hr to $60/hr

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team. The Nurse Educator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for nursing staff and students. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Educational Programs:
  • Design, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs and curricula.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new nursing staff and ongoing education for current staff.
  • Create and update educational materials and resources.
  • Clinical Training and Support:
  • Provide clinical training and support to nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Mentor and guide nursing students during their clinical placements.
  • Assist in the development of clinical competencies and skills assessments.
  • Quality Improvement:
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Professional Development:
  • Promote continuous professional development and lifelong learning among nursing staff.
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and in-service training sessions.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing education and healthcare.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with nursing leadership and other departments to ensure cohesive and effective educational programs.
  • Serve as a resource and advisor to nursing staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field required.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or Education preferred.
  • Licensure:
  • RN license for VT/compact .
  • Certification in Nursing Education (CNE) preferred.

  • 1 years

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
