## Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Utilization Review Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records to ensure appropriate utilization of healthcare services and resources.
## Responsibilities
- Conduct utilization review activities to assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the most effective treatment plan
- Evaluate patient records for compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Assist in discharge planning and coordination of post-discharge care
- Utilize coding and billing knowledge to ensure accurate documentation
- Monitor clinic and nursing home services for quality assurance purposes
## Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; RN license required
- Experience in managed care, hospice care, or utilization management preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare standards
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and electronic health records systems
