Texas Parks and Wildlife Department requires the services of ( 1) QA Associate/Analyst 3Job DescriptionThis position involves performing manual and potentially automated testing of business applications, ranging from simple to complex. The QA Engineer will collaborate with team leads, other QA Analysts, and project managers to analyze requirements and test new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring they meet specified requirements. This role operates under general supervision, with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.
8yrs - Required - Performing manual and automated testing of web or mobile applications
7yrs - Required - Developing test cases for testing mobile and web applications
7yrs - Required - Documenting testing results in a detailed manner
5yrs - Required - Version control such as Subversion, Gitlab
5yrs - Required - Working in a project team environment, Agile Methodology
5yrs - Required - Testing to ensure accessibility and other existing standards are met
5yrs - Required - Maintaining effective working relationships
5yrs - Required - Documenting testing results in Bugzilla, Jira or a similar tool
3yrs - Required - Skill writing SQL in industry standard relational databases
5yrs - Preferred - Managing multiple task and priorities
5yrs - Preferred - Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff
3yrs - Preferred - Writing automated test scripts
3yrs - Preferred - Leading QA team
2yrs - Preferred - Perform and document load testing
Work hours and location:
Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
The primary work location(s) will be at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin, TX, 78744.
The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework.
