Texas Parks and Wildlife Department requires the services of ( 1) QA Associate/Analyst 3Job DescriptionThis position involves performing manual and potentially automated testing of business applications, ranging from simple to complex. The QA Engineer will collaborate with team leads, other QA Analysts, and project managers to analyze requirements and test new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring they meet specified requirements. This role operates under general supervision, with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

- 8yrs - Required - Performing manual and automated testing of web or mobile applications
- 7yrs - Required - Developing test cases for testing mobile and web applications
- 7yrs - Required - Documenting testing results in a detailed manner
- 5yrs - Required - Version control such as Subversion, Gitlab
- 5yrs - Required - Working in a project team environment, Agile Methodology
- 5yrs - Required - Testing to ensure accessibility and other existing standards are met
- 5yrs - Required - Maintaining effective working relationships
- 5yrs - Required - Documenting testing results in Bugzilla, Jira or a similar tool
- 3yrs - Required - Skill writing SQL in industry standard relational databases
- 5yrs - Preferred - Managing multiple task and priorities
- 5yrs - Preferred - Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff
- 3yrs - Preferred - Writing automated test scripts
- 3yrs - Preferred - Leading QA team
- 2yrs - Preferred - Perform and document load testing
- Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
- The primary work location(s) will be at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin, TX, 78744.
- The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework.
