Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTION:The basic function of the Bookkeeper is to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organization skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate will be a skilled multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position:
Invoicing of customer orders and delivery of invoices in the appropriate client requested manner
Enter accounts payable invoices and expense to the proper customer purchase orders
Handle customer or vendor requests and questions timely and accurately
Assisting in or handling preparation and delivery of reports to clients
Provide assistance with cash receipts and cash disbursements
Work directly with other accounting team members, including, but not limited to, acting as backup to certain tasks
Collaborate directly with superior on special projects/tasks
Report directly to the Assistant Controller

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Associates Degree pursuit preferred in business related field, or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of bookkeeping, accounting or finance experience in a business setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
Exceptional communications skills
Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is performed in a standard office environment with extensive interaction among Spry staff and Spry vendors.
  • Physical: Sufficient ability to work in an office setting; sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Occasional need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist. Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including the use of a computer keyboard. Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
COMPENSATIONS AND BENEFITS:
  • Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly position
  • Base Compensation Range beginning at $18.00 - $20.00/hr
  • Eligible for company sponsored health benefits and 401K matching, according to benefit timelines
  • Employer paid Group Life coverage
  • Paid-Time Off (PTO) in accordance with company policy
