Spyderco is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Spyderco, Inc., a conservative, established and growing manufacturing company committed to superior sporting, tactical and culinary knives and accessories, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our business-to-business team. Our Golden, CO location allows for easy commutes and excellent leisure time activities.
The right candidate will be excited to join a small internal sales team and will provide world class customer service and foster long term relationships with our well-established Dealers and Distributors as well as foster new growth in new markets where appropriate.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintain current and develop new customer relationships with accounts within our well-established sales channels that will include brick and mortar and e-commerce dealers, distributors, large major chain retailers.
  • Participate in day-to-day account management, including order entry, backorder reporting, new account inquiries, return paperwork and warranty resolutions, etc.
  • Review business agreements and contracts to ensure all terms and agreements are in-line with company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and provide excellent knowledge of Spyderco products and programs.
  • Learn and understand all Spyderco products and programs to successfully deliver product updates, sales presentations and guide the customer on appropriate products for their market and circumstances.
  • Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills to efficiently and professionally service customer needs through phone calls, e-mails and face to face meetings.
  • Work cohesively with other departments to facilitate customer needs including Accounting, Marketing and Shipping.
  • Provide backup for other sales representatives servicing accounts worldwide.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage and professionally process a high-volume workload within the company policies and resources available.
  • This position is an in-office position requiring some travel, attending trade shows and customer visits.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Sales/Account Management /Customer Service experience
  • Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Passport
Preferred but not required:
  • Experience with Government Contracts
  • International Experience
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • NetSuite experience
  • Knife knowledge
Compensation: $70,000 annually Salary – non-exempt. This is NOT a commission-based position.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, In-office position
