Spyglass Talent Solutions is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Chapel Hill, NC

Based in Chapel Hill, NC, this company is an international manufacturer and provider of utility scale wire solutions. They are a global company looking for someone to focus on their United States operations.

Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Human Resources will serve as a key partner to the leadership team and will be responsible for developing and executing human resource initiatives and driving the company's strong and positive culture. Specifically, this position will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment and hiring efforts for all open positions across the company’s US-based operations.
  • Establish and implement strategic HR programs that effectively communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive leadership team regarding key organizational and leadership needs and issues.
  • Monitor turnover rates and employee feedback, using data to improve retention strategies.
  • Manage and resolve workplace conflicts, employee grievances, and disciplinary matters in compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion efforts to enhance recruitment and retention outcomes.
  • Oversee payroll and the benefits program.
  • Manage effective onboarding processes to facilitate the smooth integration of new hires.
  • Stay updated with recruitment tools and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Establish employee feedback mechanisms to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather insights and adjust recruitment and retention strategies based on feedback.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, and ensure the organization's HR practices and policies are in compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, including talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization – from executives to labor.
  • Ability and desire to work in a growing, nimble and fluid organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
