As a key player in driving product development across multiple functions, you will ensure the successful execution of projects and programs. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and overseeing the development and delivery of cutting-edge cancer treatment technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product development initiatives, coordinating with Manufacturing, Service, Marketing, Finance, R&D, and Regulatory/Quality teams to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Manage product development programs, particularly for the CyberKnife product, addressing complex challenges and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Project Leaders on product portfolio planning, including work estimation, scheduling, and “what-if” analysis.
  • Define and manage cross-functional needs for product registration and market-specific requirements.
  • Monitor program progress, using existing tools and techniques to address any bottlenecks and keep projects aligned with goals.
  • Identify potential risks and create contingency plans to mitigate them, ensuring smooth program execution.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive requirements management and design control.
  • Oversee resource allocation, managing both personnel and financial resources to meet project objectives.
  • Address and resolve stakeholder interactions and conflicts proactively.
  • Estimate and manage product costs, and develop and oversee project budgets in collaboration with Finance.
  • Utilize preferred tools and methods for program and portfolio management, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with program teams and external partners, managing contracts and specifications.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for regulatory audits and maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements.
QualificationsPreferred:
  • PMP Certification and/or advanced degree.
  • Experience managing programs with external collaborators in different time zones or countries.
  • Industry knowledge of medical devices and regulatory standards.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics) or equivalent.
  • At least 12 years of experience in project, program, and/or engineering management, with a strong background in both hardware and software disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, with proven skills in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate communication and decision-making channels within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing multiple, concurrent projects with diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Capacity to analyze large data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
