Medical Scribe- OBGYN
Overview: Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Unified Women’s Healthcare New York is currently seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the position of Medical Scribe in our ObGyn medical practice. Square Care Medical Group is the largest women's health organization on Long Island. We offer several specialties with 70 providers across 20 locations, and are a recognized leader in our industry. The Medical Scribe is responsible for assisting our healthcare providers and team with documenting patient medical records. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information pertaining to patient care. Other duties include scheduling appointments, answering phones, and performing data entry. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to SCMG protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. This candidate will assist in promoting a positive patient experience as outlined in our mission, vision, and values. Transcribe patient appointments
Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to outside specialties
Assist physician with fundamental patient care
Scans and processes data in patient medical record
Maintain and assist with lab correspondence
Reviews and responds to messages and tasks within EMR
Performs other duties as needed
Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group
Experience & Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher in related field preferred
Experience with medical terminology required
Excellent computer skills
Impeccable verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Friendly, compassionate and energetic disposition
Contributes to a positive and caring workplace culture
Works well in a team setting as well as independently
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment
Office365 (Word, Excel, etc.) knowledge required
Electronic Health Record experience preferred
Bilingual a plus
