POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers both direct and indirect care in detox and residential settings to patients undergoing substance use treatment, while working in collaboration with a diverse team. This role requires assessing and reporting signs and symptoms indicating psychological changes, contributing to each patient’s individual treatment plan, and documenting changes and interventions. Duties include:

• Implementing treatment plans
• Patient admissions and discharges
• Medication administration
• Health Screening Assessments
• Caseload management
• Nursing documentation and incident reporting
• Patient withdraw monitoring and supervision
• Coordinating medical services
• Utilizing de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
• Health education
• IV insertion and blood draw capabilities

EDUCATIONAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The Registered Nurse requires a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing, along with:

• Active RN license in good standing
• 2 years of general nursing experience, with at least 1 year of previous psychiatric and/or substance experience
• De-escalation/crisis intervention experience (preferred)
• IV insertion and blood draw capabilities, or willingness to learn
• Must be open-minded, flexible, and willing to take direction
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
• Valid CPR/First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• High level of confidentiality
• Exceptional display of verbal and written communication
• Ability to successfully pass a background and drug screen

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $31.00 per hour
