Service Manager

Safety, reliability, attitude, and work ethic are very important to us. Prior experience as a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager or Service Writer in a dealership is required.

We are looking for someone that is excited for growth, works well with others in a high speed environment, thrives on being successful, and excited to represent YOUR company!

Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of 5-10 Service Technicians, Forklift/Tractor Operators, and Cleaner.
  • Coordinate the inspection, prep, repair, and detailing of a large amount of trailers and campers for the Sales Department
  • Answer phone calls and assist customers with a wide range of service needs.
  • Write up repair orders.
  • Implement processes to create better flows of business.
  • Facilitate all service-related employee’s scheduling and time off request approvals.
  • Audit all service-related employee’s time cards each Monday morning to ensure accuracy and honesty before signing off on them and sending them to HR.
  • Respond to all digital service requests and help customers get their problems solved and appointments scheduled.
  • Communicate with the General Manager, the Sales Department, upper management, other stores, manufacturers, suppliers, customers, and others via email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track technician productivity and quality.
  • Meet with each tech and yard person at least once per week. Listen to their feedback. Coach them to do their best and be quality team members with positive attitudes.
  • Hire, fire, and issue warnings as needed.
  • Type job descriptions and post jobs on really when they are needing to be filled.
  • Interview candidates.
  • Bring on and facilitate training for new employees.
  • Track weekly and monthly Service Department productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor, implement, and enforce safety processes as needed. Ensure proper OSHA compliance. Look out for your employees well being and safety at all times.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the Service Department office, garage bays, and the entire lot.
  • Work alongside the yard employees to tackle large scale lot-related projects such as snow removal after big storms and full lot resets.
  • Implement processes and inventive plans to generate positive 5-star Google reviews for the Service Department.
  • Maintain an overall professional environment in the department.

Pay is:

$80,000 to $130,000 based on experience

Schedule is:

Monday to Friday: 8:00a to 5:00p and Saturday 8:00a to 3:00p during the summer (When working Saturday's, you would have either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday off for that week keeping a 5 day work week).

401(k) Plan with Employer Match - An employee becomes eligible once they have worked 1000 hours, have hit their year anniversary, and have passed one of the two enrollment dates (01/01 or 07/01).
