The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization, typically from initiation through delivery. Their primary role is to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to predefined quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Work with department Managers to identify projects to be managed.
  • Be part of cross-functional team required to complete the project.
  • Understand the scope of project – internal or external.
  • Facilitate project related meetings.
  • Manage specific projects through use of project management tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team deliverables through meetings.
  • Report project status to supervisor and customer at a pre-determined frequency.
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Project Planning: Gather requirements from sponsor and team members to Develop project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Resource Management: Recommend allocation of resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve project goals.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Communication: Facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior management. Be able to communicate priorities effectively
  • Task Coordination: Coordinating tasks and activities among project team members to ensure smooth progress and timely completion. By clearly stating deliverables, due dates and ownership
  • Budget Management: Monitoring project budgets and expenses to ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing issues and conflicts that arise during project execution and implementing solutions to keep the project on track. Track, and escalate issues as needed, to management team.
  • Reporting: Providing regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
  • Closure: Facilitating project closure activities, including documentation, evaluation, and knowledge transfer to relevant parties.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, MS365, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Project Managers typically possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. They often work closely with cross-functional teams and must be adept at managing diverse personalities and priorities. Additionally, proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, is crucial for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma tools a plus

Education and Experience

  • College degree or 2 years of leadership and/or management experience
