The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to department policies and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures quality and quantity of all transactions are fulfilled according to company standards.
• Perform all aspects of the Accounts Payable function by entering, and tracking, all invoices assigned.

Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Teams to complete tasks promptly.

• Follow-up internally and externally on invoices and credits.
• Communicate with general contractors (GC) and vendors by telephone, or email, to resolve routine inquiries and to ensure compliance with contractual terms and requirements.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with Yardi, Software preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Fast and accurate data entry skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Preferred general understanding of construction billing, including retainage, lien waivers, and insurance.
