Duration: Contract to Hire

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Product Manager for a consulting engagement with a prestigious supply chain client. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in supply chain and expertise in defining and implementing cloud-based platforms. As a consultant, you will lead a transformative project, driving innovation and ensuring the delivery of exceptional solutions that meet the client s business objectives.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement and Strategy:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client s business, goals, and challenges in the supply chain domain.
  • Lead the product discovery process to identify high-impact opportunities, leveraging customer insights, market research, and data analysis.
  • Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the client s objectives and addresses unmet needs.
  • Ensure alignment with the project s high-level objectives, including rapid market release, superior user experience, multi-cloud deployment, and cost-efficiency.
  • Project Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring transparent communication and managing expectations effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, engineering, design, and other consulting teams to foster a culture of collaboration and shared ownership.
  • Empower and support cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions by providing clear context, setting objectives, and removing obstacles.
  • Champion the use of low code/no code infrastructure to achieve a three-month release cadence within existing traceability models.
  • Customer-Centric Development:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client s workflows, pain points, and requirements through direct interaction and user research.
  • Advocate for the client s end-users at every stage of the product development process, ensuring solutions are both valuable and usable.
  • Implement and utilize continuous feedback loops to iterate and improve products based on real user experiences.
  • Focus on creating an excellent user experience, and incorporate self-service onboarding, sign-up, and learning approaches.

Outcome-Focused Execution:

  • Set measurable goals and success criteria for product initiatives, focusing on delivering tangible business outcomes.
  • Build an executable roadmap with a well-defined backlog, ensuring a clear path from ideation to delivery.
  • Monitor key product metrics and use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and prioritize efforts.
  • Maintain a bias towards action, ensuring rapid iteration and learning to maximize impact.
  • Leverage best-of-breed approaches by outsourcing to open-source libraries with enterprise support and licensing off-the-shelf solutions when financially viable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in the supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record of defining and launching successful cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on influencing and driving consensus across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer focus with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
