Key Responsibilities
- Direct project planning, initiation, execution, and closure in accordance with IT standards
- Lead matrixed project teams and effectively manage multi-functional resources
- Manage all stages of the systems development life cycle using a high degree of project management expertise
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and forecasts with accuracy
- Proactively manage project risks, resolve issues, and address escalations impacting project scope, timeline, and budget
- Conduct regular project team meetings and sponsor updates to communicate project status and deliverables
- Monitor project quality and performance metrics and drive quality into project artifacts and deliverables
- Facilitate change control and manage vendor engagements to ensure project success
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience leading programs, projects, or key business initiatives involving technology implementations
- 3 years of experience as a Project Manager managing medium to large technology projects
- Experience managing matrixed teams and resources, including vendors under statements of work and contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience working in Information Technology in an electric utility
- IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile methodology, Six Sigma, or ITIL
- Experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with customer service systems and related technologies
