SST Direct is Hiring a Project Surveyor Near Evansville, IN

Seeking a Project Surveyor experienced with large heavy civil projects for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a leading heavy/highway contractor, in Grayville, Illinois.
DAILY TRAVEL TO PROJECT SITE IN GRAYVILLE, IL IS REQUIRED.
Per diem and/or hotel accommodations are provided Monday through Friday, with the option to return home on weekends for added flexibility.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental, and 401k!
Salary is between $80,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience).
Responsibilities:
  • Provide surveying services for construction layout on bridges, highways, foundations, and related heavy civil projects.
  • Assist with survey computations, construction layout calculations, and project data conversion/transformation.
  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys.
  • Calculate terrain or structure characteristics, including heights, depths, and property lines.
  • Oversee all survey aspects of project construction.
  • Conduct plan research and review.
  • Prepare as-built plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, surveying technology, or related science.
  • 3 or more years of experience in land surveying; experience with large heavy civil projects
  • Experience operating robotic tool stations, GPS, and levels.
  • Proficiency in DOT standards, code lists, and survey requirements.
  • Knowledge of geological description principles and methods.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report background check.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Ability to build TIN/BIM maps preferred.
  • IDOT or INDOT experience preferred.
