We are seeking a Superintendent (Head of Low Voltage Department) with experience with managing and overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage projects. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client in Tampa, FL!
Salary: $78k - $90k per year (Based on experience)
Role Overview: As the Superintendent (Head of Low Voltage Department) you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage projects within our organization. You will lead a team of technicians and specialists to ensure that low voltage systems are installed, maintained, and serviced efficiently and in accordance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule low voltage projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of low voltage systems into overall project plans.
• Oversee project documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring workload distribution and optimal resource utilization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to low voltage systems.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve complex issues.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding low voltage projects.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions.
• Address client concerns and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for team members to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and manage budgets for low voltage projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor project expenses and implement strategies to control costs and maximize profitability.
• Provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting project performance and forecasting future expenditures.
• Prepare accurate and timely estimates for construction projects, focusing on electrical systems, project plans, and specifications to determine the overall cost of the project.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Superintendent or in a similar managerial role in electrical construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards relevant to low voltage systems.
• Excellent leadership and human resources management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
