Direct & manage financial operations of Independent Living for Seniors (ILS), a $28 million corporation. Assist in directing and managing financial operations of the other SAGRI entities, totaling $60 million of revenue.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports the strategic objectives of St. Ann's of Greater Rochester Inc.
  • Strong senior-level finance member - Overseeing leaders of the accounting, FP&A, payroll, and accounts payable areas.
  • Play a key role in long-term strategic planning by evaluating potential opportunities and investments.
  • Assist the CFO in obtaining future capital needs through banks and investment bankers.
  • In conjunction with the CFO, drive strategy for the organization
  • Assess the current finance operations and drive financial transformation and the implementation of new processes.
  • Oversight of the monthly close process.
  • Oversight of the monthly financial statements for management's review.
  • Oversees the preparation of quarterly cashflow projections as requested by the C-suite.
  • Leads the preparation of healthcare cost reporting for Medicaid and Medicare
  • Coordinate information to all outside auditors for fiscal audits and preparation of annual cost reports.
  • Responsible for supporting the annual 990 returns for all corporations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial projections and forecasts for historical results and future assumptions.
  • Active member of the Operations Leadership team.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of business performance metrics.
  • Negotiate third-party rates and monitor the status of any rate appeals.
  • Ensures the accurate recording of the St. Ann's Foundation activities.
  • Assist with the budgeting process.
  • Ensures accountability for team performance.
  • Participates in planning and implementation of new organizational objectives.
  • Participates in Leadership level II meetings.
  • Maintains a collaborative approach that is focused on exceptional customer service.
  • Undertake special assignments and other duties as requested by C-suite leadership.
  • Provide Ad Hoc Reporting as required.
  • Acts as a liaison between St. Ann's and professional associations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess strong leadership, analytical & communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance; Master's degree in business administration or CPA/CMA designations is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive finance leadership roles.
  • 10 years of experience in the Long-Term Care industry is highly preferred.
  • Be a strategic partner to the C-suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong skills in developing and presenting reports to executive management is an ongoing duty.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: Manage ILS financial staff of five (5) individuals who comprise the Financial Service Department. Responsible for the overall directors, coordination, and evaluations of these units. Carries out supervision responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, among others, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee is required to ensure personal safety, monitor work environment and make necessary improvements while ensuring the safety of others to include, adhering to regulations set by OSHA, DOH, and facility regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc. Tasks involved in this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.

Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the organization, residents, participants, family and staff, that may be encountered, either formally or informally, during the normal course of business. This includes medical and treatment records, financial and human resources information
