Job Responsibilities Include
- plan and lead lab-based science instruction for students in Fifth and Sixth Grades, focusing on Earth Science and Physics, as well as Life Science, including invertebrates and microorganisms
- develop assessments, evaluate, and track student progress
- differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- maintain communication with parents about student progress, including through parent-teacher conferences, report cards, and portfolio conferences
- plan and lead advisory meetings with a group of 8-12 students, and partner with grade-level co-advisors for advisory curricula
- chaperone field trips, including possible overnight trips
- experience with the Responsive Classroom or Developmental Designs approach and project-based curriculum and assessments are a plus
