We are currently seeking a Full Time Human Generalist to join the HR Team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resource Generalist works collaboratively with the broader HR team and business leaders assisting with the development and deployment of business driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization. The HR Generalist will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resource expertise to provide a wide range of HR support and advice. The HR Generalist will assist in day-to-day operations, act as an employee champion and change agent and will fill in for other staff as required. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and demonstrates a proactive approach to customer service.

  • Serve as trusted advisor and resource to employees and management on HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Support the HR team in various HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, training, and policy development.
  • Lead for all workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Serves as Chairperson of Safety Committee; Prepares agenda for safety committee, prepares meeting minutes.
  • Responsible for OSHA tracking and reporting for employee incidents. Performs OSHA reporting requirements annually.
  • Responsible for administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HRA and 403 (B) plan.
  • Responds to benefit inquiries about plans, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Reconciles monthly benefit billings for all plans.
  • Maintains updated records and tracks to ensure benefit payments are made while on a leave of absence.
  • Coordination of annual open enrollment, including set up of plans in ADP and benefit wellness communications.
  • Responsible for ACA compliance tracking and ensures proper 1095’s are prepared/sent annually.
  • Participates in new-hire orientation, prepares benefit packets.
  • Maintains HRIS database with employee updates – New Hires, Job Changes, Status Changes and Address Changes, etc.
  • Processes terminations in a timely manner, sends term lists monthly and prepares turnover reporting.
  • Partners with leadership to provide coaching/counseling on employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Works closely with benefit brokers and insurance vendors to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Provides administrative support for the department as needed.
  • Quality Assurance reporting to VP HR and ensures PBJ compliance reporting is accurate.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Manages HR data for compliance reporting and other metric driven analysis.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess, at a minimum, an associate degree. Bachelor’s degree in business/Human Resources preferred.
  • Prior HR experience required, 3-5 years preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, develop and communicate company policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, proficient in Microsoft Power Point. Ability to learn other computer programs.
  • Professional and positive attitude with the ability to maintain confidentiality required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
