Description

Saint Charles Borromeo Academy is seeking a part time math specialist for the 2024-2025 school year. Partnering with parents in their role as primary educators, Saint Charles Borromeo Academy extends the mission of the Church in forming true disciples of Jesus Christ. Through a Catholic Classic Liberal Arts education centered on Christ, we provide an integrated approach fostering a love for truth, beauty, and goodness. We seek to instill a natural desire for wisdom and virtue in all students.

Role:

• Provide advanced math to middle school math students based upon test scores
• Prepare students for Algebra I in 8th grade, beginning in 6th grade
• Possibly teach Algebra I to 8th graders (based upon testing)
• Will be responsible for performing duties including assisting in creating a positive, Christ-like learning environment for all teachers and students
• Reports to the principal

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interventions related to math
• Participates in faculty meetings.
• Available for parent/teacher conferences

Requirements

• 20-25 hours a week
• Have an arrival post outside (front or back).
• Attendance at assembly time on Fridays
• Understand and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church at all times.

This position is contracted for August-May of the 24-25 school year. It is paid monthly through EANS as a contracted employee. Once accepted, employees must be vendors in Class Wallet to be paid.
