ACADEMIC SERVICES SECRETARY
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
CLASSIFICATION: ESP Pay Band P
HOURLY RATE: $16.00 per hour
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

  • Up to twenty-six (26) paid time off days annually (prorated based on hire date).

JOB SUMMARY: The Academic Services Secretary provides secretarial support for Academic Services administrators, directors, faculty, and staff, through the completion of tasks to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides secretarial support for the office of the Chief Academic Officer (CAO).
  • Assists with document processing and preparation of reports for Academic functions as assigned.
  • Assists with the editing of the college catalog.
  • Assists with committee meetings as assigned.
  • Assists with office supply inventory and processes orders as needed.
  • Assists with organizing, setting up, and preparing materials for academic events and meetings.
  • Assists with program review/PROE and course review materials.
  • Assists with the faculty evaluation process as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from the Chief Academic Officer.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate degree required. Will consider applicants in the process of completing an associate's degree. One year of experience in higher education preferred. Understanding and exposure to all aspects of academic functions related to faculty, staff, and students preferred.

  • Exercises good judgment in the use of and/or management of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Abides by College policies and procedures.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word.
