Position Summary:
The HME Service Technician is responsible for delivery/pickup, set up, demonstration, maintenance of oxygen and home medical equipment. Responsible for assigned vehicle maintenance and performance of minor equipment repairs. On-call rotation required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Makes oxygen/equipment pickup/deliveries in the home.
• Reports concerns or need for return visit appropriately.
• Performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment in the home per protocols.
• Picks up equipment in need of repair for evaluation. 
• Assists with inventory control of supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates to patient/caregiver use of oxygen/equipment per physician orders.
• Completes daily schedule/assignment sheet. 
• Completes required documentation timely and accurately.
• Performs simple maintenance on vehicles as needed.
• Performs home safety assessment with equipment set-up.
• Assists in cleaning equipment at times, according to established guidelines.
• Performs on-call duties during weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as scheduled by supervisor.

Education:
High school graduate or GED required.

Experience: 
Durable medical equipment experience preferred. 

Licensure/Certification: 
A valid Kentucky Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
