Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supervising the transportation staff, their performance, and all department functions.
  • Ensuring all safety, cleanliness, appearance, efficiency, and accurate records standards are met.
  • Oversee activities relating to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the department’s equipment and vehicles.
  • Investigating and responding to any customer complaints.
  • Ensuring that state-required certificates of title are up-to-date and coordinate registrations and state inspections.
  • Leading the hiring and training processes for transportation staff.
  • Facilitating training for all staff within the organization as it relates to safe driving.
  • Investigating, tracking, actively seeking opportunities to prevent vehicles accidents.
  • Analyzing data to develop plans/policies and make recommendations.
  • Supporting the strategic planning process and assisting in developing the initiatives to achieve the overall mission and vision of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 3 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A desire to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and other challenges in their personal growth. Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities is desired.
  • Valid regular WI driver’s license, and a driving record that conforms to the standards set forth by the organization. CDL is a plus.
