Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for the planning, design, development, construction or renovation of facilities and equipment; and for the recruitment, leasing and management of corporate properties. Is also responsible for the operations of Materials Management, General Services, Plant Operations, Safety and Security, and Pharmacy Services.

  • You will be responsible for planning, design and development of facilities, construction and alternations or equipment installation for major capital projects
  • You will coordinate through subordinates by performing personally the management of corporate properties and parking areas
  • You will coordinate the planning and organization for properties in the hospital master plan
  • You will direct and coordinate the operations of assigned departments/areas of responsibility
  • You will establish and maintain adequate control over costs to ensure adherence to budget
What qualifications you will need:
  • 10 years of previous management experience in hospital administration with experience in medical and technical facilities planning required
  • MHA/MBA/MS in hospital administration, health care administration or equivalent education or work experience

St. David's Medical Center is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas. This 300 bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the regions largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David's Neuroscience & Spine Institute. The full scope of services provided at St. David's Medical Center includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women's services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center. The facility is home to a 60 bed rehabilitation hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive care.
