Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician, under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists with preparing medications for dispensing and may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. The position is expected to receive and store incoming supplies, verify stock and enter data into the computer to maintain inventory records and charges, and is expected to meet state certifications. The position has mastered all Pharmacy Tech requirements and has additional specialization requirements such as IV, Automation, Narcotics, etc., and requires familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, is expected to perform a variety of complicated tasks, and may lead and direct the work of others.

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma. Ability to effectively follow directions, analyze problems and interpret analytical data. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service skills. Attention to detail to provide high quality care and accurate medication preparation. Successful passing of the National Pharmacy Technician exam; State Pharmacy Certification.
