Description Duties: The following duties are typical for this position. Employees may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. Participate in all vineyard activities to include but not limited to the following:
Planting
Pruning
Training/Tying young vines
Suckering (removal of shoots positioned low on the vine)
Vineyard maintenance and sanitation
Trellis repair and install
Maintenance of grounds
Irrigation repair and install
Winery cellar and bottling work as required
Mechanical operations of vineyard .
Operation of vineyard mechanical equipment
Fertilizer, chemical handling and application thereof
General equipment maintenance as required.
Assist with care and maintenance of grounds and buildings
OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED: Requirements:
Outdoor/agriculture work experience is a plus
Dependable
Able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
Must have reliable transportation to work on a daily basis
Must be able to work any day of the week.
Must be able to work nights during Harvest Season.
