Description
St. James Winery, a family-owned, award-winning winery located in St. James, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and making sure our wines reach our distributors and customers safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:

• Processing incoming sales orders.
• Preparing and packaging outgoing shipments to ensure safe and timely delivery.
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with all safety regulations.
• Receiving incoming shipments, inspecting products for accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of essential shipping and warehouse supplies.
• Conducting monthly physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Preparing comprehensive shipping documentation, including obtaining freight quotes, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and scheduling dock appointments.
• Managing purchase orders (POs) and verifying them against received materials.
• Optimizing warehouse layout and inventory flow to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Collaborating with winemaking staff to coordinate packaging requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with winery personnel and external vendors.
• Proficiency in basic math and data entry.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate a forklift with a valid forklift certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a warehouse setting and have the ability to operate all warehouse equipment to include Forklifts. To stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. To lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight. To operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
