Responsibilities:The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of optimal patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, and adhering to standards of care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Exhibits critical thinking and problem solving skills. Performs complete, accurate documentation (PIs, data collection, admission assessments, POC, etc.) in accordance with policies and procedures. Identifies individualized patient/significant others learning needs and implements appropriate measures to address identified knowledge deficits. Demonstrates knowledge, respect, and sensitivity concerning patients rights. Serves as a patient advocate. Assures confidentiality of patient information. Maintains effective communication with all staff, physicians, patients, families and other departments. Participates in the development of standards and unit performance improvement activities.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. OB experience preferred.
