The Lower School is seeking a part-time Receptionist for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a lively environment with young children. The individual serves as the “face and voice” of the division, managing all front-door interactions and offering a hospitable welcome to all constituents.
Primary Responsibilities:
Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to address inquiries from parents, students, faculty, and staff.
Ascertain which types of situations may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
Maintain confidentiality of information received and convey urgent information to members of the administrative team as needed.
Track attendance, assist students with sign-in and sign-out procedures, and report trends to the Head and Assistant Head of Lower School.
Help connect students to items dropped off by parents.
Assist with general clerical duties or other duties as assigned.
College degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience in an office setting, preferably in a school or large organization
Exceptional communication skills, including speaking, spelling, grammar, and composition.
Proficient in Google Sheets, Google Docs, database management, typing, and data entry.
Ability to set priorities, take initiative, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, and compassion
