Case Worker Assistant - SUMMARY OF PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Provides clerical and administrative office support and provides information to the public and social services agencies as they related to the Parish’s Department of Community Services (formerly Department of Health & Human Services). REQUIREMENTS: Sufficient experience and education to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of position. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess a high school diploma or GED with some knowledge and training with social services programs or previous experience providing administrative and technical support related to social services programs that involved substantial public contact. Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the Parish’s Risk Manager. OTHER: Ability to work extended hours during emergencies or disasters assisting Department with shelter operations required. PAY RANGE: $12.02/hour - $14.42/hours DOE.
