Job Overview
Responsible for providing education and technical assistance for Patient Safety, Accreditation / Regulatory compliance. Plans and implements activities to increase awareness of regulatory requirements.
e. IHI, TJC, DNV, ISO, CMS and State. Consults with various departments to review policies and procedures and make recommendations to ensure regulatory / safety conformance needed.
Assists with the collection, aggregation and analysis of performance improvement data related to regulatory compliance. Performs medical record reviews and other compliance assessment audits.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field, and three to five years of previous work related experience.
Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Certification in healthcare accreditation and patient safety preferred.
Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts is required. Previous TJC / DNV / ISO experience preferred.
Minimum two years previous experience in regulatory / compliance requirements and writing policies and procedures. Position requires excellent facilitation, relationship skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
Requires critical thinking, conceptual thinking and decision making skills.
