Required: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree with a valid Missouri teaching certificate. Must be certified in Special Reading (Remedial).

Eligible for emergency telework: Yes

Purpose: To help provide the kind of instruction and learning environment that will enable each student in the district to master the reading skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual capacity.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
• To "telework" when requested by the District.
• Plan and administer the special reading program.
• Interpret student needs and progress in reading to the classroom teacher and the parents.
• Confer with parents concerning individual students experiencing special reading problems or those requiring special remedial help. Meet with any parents requesting such a conference.
• Maintain the documentation necessary to comply with state and federal guidelines.
• Other assigned duties.
