Job Overview:
Join our team at St. Joseph the Carpenter School for the upcoming academic year. We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to inspire and educate students in the field of mathematics. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for numbers and problem-solving skills among our diverse student body.
Duties:
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students in mathematical concepts.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Provide individualized assistance to students who require extra help in understanding mathematical principles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
- Stay abreast of advancements in mathematics education and incorporate relevant technologies into teaching practices.
Experience:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proficiency in instructional design to tailor lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Experience working with students at various proficiency levels to ensure academic growth for all.
- Familiarity with standardized testing practices to prepare students for assessments.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical topics such as trigonometry, algebra, and calculus.
- Knowledge of IXL and Savvas Envision Math program a plus!
