St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Germantown is conveniently situated at 5421 Germantown Avenue, with Uncle Bobbie's delicious coffee shop at the end of the block. Bus 23 stops directly across the church campus for easy access.

The choir, which comprises a mix of 4 professional singers and 8 dedicated voluntee singers.

**Job Summary:**

We specifically interested in finding a Soprano with strong sight-reading skills and the ability to sing straight tone and excellent intonation. We are seeking a particular vocal quality that will blend well with the current ensemble. Familiarity with Anglican Chant would be an advantageous. The choir performs a wide range of music, from Classical Choral Anthems to Contemporary works. *An awesome opportunity for a college undergrad or grad vocal arts student!

**Duties:**

Mandatory attendance at the weekly rehearsals, which are held on Thursday evenings 7:15pm - 9:15pm during the season running from late August to Mid June.

On Sunday mornings, the choir gathers at 9am for the 10am Choral Eucharist.. The season kicks off with 4 weeks of rehearsals, leading up to the first Sunday Choral Euc. of the season.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in a leadership role or similar position with in choirs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

- Familiarity with Anglican Chant

- currently working on a BA in vocal arts or is current in a private vocal studio - to professional degree'd singer.
